The History of Garber Self Storage in Mount Joy, PA

Our new business venture started in early 2006 when we began major renovations to our preexisting buildings on our property. Phase I included building 10 single units in Building A. We started Phase II in July 2006 & built an additional 9 units in building B. We completed Phase III in May 2007. During the fall of 2007 we began our 4th building phase. As we were blessed with good occupancy and great clients, we continued to build and convert our farm buildings to storage. We now occupy 5 buildings with storage and many different sizes and storage purposes. In 2009 we completed our “planned renovations”. We still are adding mini style storage units as we are able and demand calls for.

Our main purpose is to offer premier RV and Boat storage along with units of all sizes to accommodate household items, “toys”, and equipment. 


We are a family business, owned and operated as such. We aren’t governed by a large corporation and we thrive on this. Contact us to see how we can be of service to you, your family, and/or your organization.


Our company is located in Mount Joy, PA a small town in between Lancaster, PA and Harrisburg, PA just off Route 283 which cuts through our property. Our facility can be seen from Route 283 between the “Manheim-Mount Joy, Route 772″ exit and the “Rheems-Elizabethtown” exits.


In the spring of 2019, we added our Radio road and Harvest Road locations. This addition allows us to continue to serve our customers in a variety of locations, with a variety of storage options. In the spring of 2022, we added our 202 Fairview St location to Mount Joy to provide more mini storage options for clients in downtown Mount Joy and the surrounding areas.
